Warranty Service / Troubleshooting

Our products all carry manufacturer warranties, which vary depending on products and manufacterers.     While situations needing warranty service are rare, we are happy to assist you in coming to a solution to any technical problem you may have.  

We can assist with technical support, or get you in touch with the manufacter technical support to answer any questions you may have during or after installation.    If troubleshooting does not solve a technical problem, you may need to submit a claim for warranty service.  

In most cases it is easier for you to directly contact the manufacterer for warranty claims.  We are happy to assist in any way, but sometimes a middle man can make the proccess more complicated than necessary.

Lifetime Limited Warranty
Limited Warranties and Procedures
TecNiq Inc. extends a Lifetime Limited Warranty to the original purchaser that the TecNiq Inc. Lamp is free from defects in
workmanship and/or materials only. TecNiq Inc. will replace any TecNiq Inc. lamp to the original consumer/purchaser if the lamp fails due to defects in workmanship and/or materials only. TecNiq Inc. products are incompatible with many chemicals and/or cleaners, and the Limited Lamp Warranty does not apply to damage associated with or caused by incompatible chemicals and/or cleaners.

The Limited Lamp Warranty is not transferable and applies to only the original installation of the lamp for as long as the original consumer/purchaser owns the vehicle. To be eligible for coverage under the Lifetime Limited Warranty protection, the TecNiq Inc. product must remain intact, free from physical abuse, and have been properly installed. The Lifetime Limited Warranty does not constitute in any way a product guarantee, and TecNiq Inc. does not hereby assume any obligation of any kind whatsoever other than sending a free replacement product or issuing credit as applicable under the Lifetime Limited Warranty.
TecNiq Inc. does not warrant its products as to their fitness for any special use or function.




All lights are covered from defects, including a bad LED emitter or moisture in the light, for as long as you own it. Be sure to keep your receipt or proof of purchase for any warranty claims.  LifeTIME will repair or replace your product for no charge for as long as you own it. All you have to do is ship it back to LifeTIME, we will pay the shipping to you on all warranty claims.  The following problems are covered under our extensive warranty, moisture in the light, LED failure, driver failure, and any other defect that shows up during use.

What is NOT covered, broke end caps due to improper mounting, cracked or broken lenses, improper voltage used, improper wiring, and damage due to crashes, fire or rollovers.

carson.jpgCarson Manufacturing Company, Inc. warrants this new product to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service, for a period of five (5) years from the date of delivery to the first user-purchaser.

During this warranty period the obligation of Carson Manufacturing is limited to repairing or replacing, as Carson Manufacturing may elect, any part or parts of such product which after examination by Carson Manufacturing is determined to be defective in material and/or workmanship.
RETURNS:  If you have any questions concerning this or any other Carson product, please contact our Technical  Service Department at (888) 577-6877.  Many issues can be handled over the phone.  We can also be reached via e-mail at  If a product must be returned for any reason, please contact our Technical Service Department to obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) before you ship the product to Carson.  Please write the RMA# clearly on the package near the mailing label.  Be sure to provide a return address, contact and phone number, along with a brief description of the problem.

In the event that a product is defective, we will assist you in obtaining the appropriate warranty service to repair or replace the defective product.  

Since the majority of orders are custom builds, we typically do not arbitrarily accept returns unless there is prior authorization from the management team. 

All stock items are subject to a 25% restocking fee.  Once returned items are received they will be inspected and any store credits or refunds will be issued either electronically or by check issuance within 30 days.

Custom built items may not be returned. Defective, items will be replaced or repaired by the Manufacturer, per the Manufacturer Warranty. 

If you need to return an item you ordered from, just call one of our Customer Support Team members at 800-566-3415 to obtain a Return Authorization Number and return the item within 7 days of delivery. PLEASE NOTE, ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER that can only be obtained by contacting CovertLights at 800-566-3415 or emailing us at
Keep the following return policies in mind: (i) all items must be returned in new, unused condition, and will undergo quality checks. All product packaging materials--including boxes, manuals, warranty cards, instructions, tags, and any other materials in the original shipment--must be returned with your returned item(s), (ii) our return policy is subject to each Manufacturer-Partner’s individual return policy, which my vary from the policy, in which case, the Manufacturer-Partner’s policy prevails, and, (iii) we do not cover shipping expense on returned items .

Custom manufactured products, unless defective, are not eligible for returns or refunds, but may be exchanged for in-store credit at the discretion of CovertLights staff.   Closeout, clearance or used products are also not eligible for refunds or returns and are sold as-is with no warranty implied.

Order Cancellation
Any order may be cancelled prior to shipment within 24 hours of date of purchase.  Once orders are in the production stream, cancellation fees will apply.  Feniex products 25% cancellation fee.  If your order has shipped, shipping charges will not be refundable.

We do not process exchanges without prior authorization. To exchange an item, please return the item pursuant to the Return Authorization number and instructions you obtain from us, and place a new order on

Defective or Incorrect Merchandise
All defective, incorrect or incomplete merchandise may be returned to CovertLights after first obtaining a return authorization number from CovertLights and meeting the return requirements under "Returns" above.
Defective Merchandise: Associated with Manufacturer defects only, including missing parts or direct accessories.
Incorrect Merchandise: If you received an item different than that which was described on the website or is the wrong size, color, or style than what you ordered, it may be returned within 7 days for receipt of your order.
Damaged Merchandise
Should any merchandise arrive damaged, please retain all packing materials. Since all of our shipments are insured through UPS, FedEx or USPS, the shipping company may require evidence of the damage in order to pay any claim. Please call our Customer Support Team within 24 hours of receiving your package with damaged merchandise and we will instruct you on the next steps.    If the shipment arrives with heavy visible damage, DO NOT SIGN to accept the package.   Contact CovertLights immediately.
Missing Or REFUSED Shipments
Please allow at least ten days for your package to ship. Your order may arrive in multiple packages from multiple manufacturers. and even more time depending on your location or if your product is custom manufactured. Please call our Customer Support Team at 800-566-3415 if you believe your package is missing and we will instruct you on the next steps.
Shipments that are refused by you (the purchaser) for any reason will be charged all shipping costs incurred in the transaction.  
No refunds will be made for ground shipments that do not reach the purchaser within a given time frame for any reason, unless we determine the package qualifies as a missing shipment.
We cannot be held responsible for packages left on the premises due to special instructions left for our shipper.
You should expect to receive your refund within three to four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. ALWAYS keep  your Tracking information, as this will suffice for Proof of Delivery. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your credit card company or bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
